Amy L. Beam, a Yezidi activist and writer accused an airport police officer from Kurdistan Region of offending her new published book, titled "The Last Yezidi Genocide,” in late August.

“In August, A police officer at Erbil Airport seized the book from a man traveling to Germany and destroyed it,” Beam stated on her Facebook page. “He ripped it up in front of his eyes because he did not like the photo on the first page.”

Beam called on KRG Prime Minister later to Intervene.

"I call upon the office of Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani to investigate this offense and reprimand the police officer,” Beam said.

Beam added that she has “always supported Kurdistan and she will continue to support its struggle for democracy, including freedom of the press.”

Beam begun to work on Yezidis on August 3, 2014 when ISIS attacked Shingal and killed and enslaved thousands.
