According to the Avatody news archive, in 2023 and at the same time as the continuation of the women, life, freedom movement, at least eleven prisoners died due to torture by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Of course, it should be mentioned that only 9 of the deceased were political prisoner.
Based on reliable news reports and records of prisoners killed in Iran's detention centers and prisons in 2023, at least 32 prisoners were killed for various reasons. These reasons include torture, lack of medical treatment, conflict with other prisoners, suspicious death, poisoning, suicide, gunshots during detention and heart attack before execution, etc.
Of these, 11 of the recorded deaths were due to torture by Iranian security forces. It is worth mentioning that out of the 11 mentioned cases, 9 of them were political prisoners who died due to severe torture.

1- Shirzad Ahmadinejad, 41 years old and from Bukan
2- Musa Esmaili, 35 years old and from Piranshahr
3- Peyman Galvani, 24 years old and from Mahabad
4- Hassan Jojagalvani, from Piranshahr
5- Arman Sangi, 27 years old and from Baneh
6- Mahmoud Rakhshani, a 19-year-old from Zabul
7- Ebrahim Rigi, a 24-year-old doctor from Zahedan
8- Sadegh Fuladi vanda, 29 years old from Gachsaran
9- Javad Rohi Javan, 35 years old from Amol
