Thousands of Kurds in Iran have been showing their sympathy to their fellows in Syria for second day as Turkey’s bombardment left 100,000 Kurds homeless.
Hundreds were reported dead and wounded since the military operation started on Wednesday.
People in Iran’s Kurdish cities as well as in Tehran gathered on Saturday and urged the international community to break their silence and stop the brutal assaults against the Syrian Kurds by Turkish army.
Iranian security forces have been trying to end pro-Kurdish protests by using violence against the participants and arresting several dozens of activists.
According to information received by Avatoday, several protesters have been arrested so far.
Hundreds of Kurds from diaspora have also gathered for the second day and asked Europe to act before “Turkey commits another ethnic cleansing.”
US president Donald Trump is highly blamed by senior US officials and world communities for giving Syria as a gift to Iran, Turkey and Russia and for breaking promises US made to its Kurdish allies. Trump has suddenly extracted American forces from the Kurdish region and let Turkey attack the Kurds.
