As US restarted its sanctions against Iran, British Airways, Netherland’s KLM Airlines and Air France announced on Thursday that their direct flights to Tehran will be halted from next month.

The three companies, which surprisingly all have released their separate announcements today, cited low profitability as the shared reason behind their decision.

The flights will be halted on September, according to the announcements.

Earlier this month the French airline had already decreased the numbers of its flights from three a week to only one flight.

The French company blamed the "poor commercial viability, in the announcement.

British Airways mentioned the same economic reason for halting Tehran flights, but added its decision was not related to US President Donald Trump's imposition of new sanctions on Iran.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines also said that as a result of the negative results and financial outlook for the Tehran operation, the last flight will take off from Amsterdam on Sep.22,2018, and land at Schiphol on 23 September,

Many international companies have been pulling out of Iran since US left Iran nuclear deal and imposed the sanctions once again.
