A new wave of protests against poverty, corruption, unpaid salaries and jailing activists hit Iran on Wednesday, sources inside the country reported to Avatoday.

Family of Esmaeil Bakhshi, an Iranian labor activist and representative of workers of Haft Tapeh Sugarcane Factory, gathered on Wednesday alongside with numbers of workers in front of Shosh Judiciary in Khuzestan, requesting an official respond to Bakhshi’s case.

Railway employees in Karaj also protested today as they have not been paid for several months. Iran suffers from serious economic crisis and high level of corruption.

In another separate protest, Workers of Borujerd Municipality gathered for the third consecutive day, requesting eight months of unpaid salaries.

Customer of Meftah Rahnavard and Bahman Khodro, two Iranian automotive companies, took the streets in front of Iranian parliament against violation of the contracts.

The protesters are especially angry over the pre-sold cars, which are not delivered according to the scheduled time.

Investors have also joined the Wednesday’s wave of Strike.

They gathered in front of Iranian Bank of Caspian in Tehran and Mashhad as they have lost their money.

Since the financial crisis hit the country, dozens of private Banks went bankrupt.
