Iran’s Mahan Air A310-304 W5142/IRM142 departed Iran's airspace towards Damascus on Sunday February 10, 2019, carrying weapons and ammunition to Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ (IRGC) Quds force in Syria and Hezbollah.
Mahan Air was sanctioned by US treasury in December 2018 “for providing financial, material and technological support to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Qods Force” in Syria.
After imposing sanction on Mahan Air, IRGCs transports arms and ammunition to Syria with Syrian Air Ilyushin IL76T heavy-lift cargo.
Germany cancelled operating license of Mahan Air in January and banned it from its' airport flights.
