An explosion in Shahid Avini Center belonging to The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran rocked the Iranian capital city of Tehran early on Saturday.

Iranian government says the explosion occurred in Mellat public park, but confidential information received by Avatoday suggests that the blast hit the Shahid Avini Center.

Sensitive Iranian sites, mostly nuclear, have been targeted in the last year.

A factory owned by the Iran Centrifuge Technology Co. in Karaj was targeted by a drone in June.

Natanz Nuclear facility in Iran’s Isfahan province was heavily damaged in April reportedly by an Israeli operation.

Mohesn Fakhrizadeh, head of Iran’s nuclear weapon was killed in Tehran in November 27, 2020.

Israel has neither confirmed nor denied its role in these attacks so far.
