The Cooperation Center of Iranian Kurdistan’s Political Parties on Thursday announced their support for Iranian social activists, who asked Islamic Republic’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei to region in an open letter.

A number of 28 Iranian social activists in Early August, asked Khamenei, Islamic Republic’s Supreme Leader, to resign and called for changes in the Islamic constitution.

Several other activists across Iran and abroad joined the movement later.  Sirus Abbasi a Kurdish activist from Dehgolan was among these activists. Abbasi, published a video on Tuesday, Aug 9, in which he says, “after 40 years of Islamic Republic’s rule over Iran, the only thing that must end is the fear from fragile power of regime.”

Iranian security forces have so far arrested most of the activists who sign the letter or show their supports.

The Cooperation Center was formed by five main Iranian Kurdish opposition parties in January 2017.
