On Sunday, June 7, human rights activists reported that Isa Feyzi, a former political prisoner and the husband of Kajal Rahmani, was arrested after visiting the Intelligence Office in Kamyaran to inquire about his wife's situation.

One day before his arrest, Kajal Rahmani and her brother, Danial Rahmani, were reportedly detained by intelligence agents during a violent arrest operation.

The detention of Isa Feyzi after seeking information about his wife has heightened concerns regarding the fate of the family and the whereabouts of those detained.

So far, no official information has been released regarding the charges against them, the authority responsible for their arrests, or their access to legal representation and contact with family members.

Human rights organizations have repeatedly reported arrests, prosecutions, and extensive security crackdowns in Iran’s Kurdish provinces by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and other Iranian security agencies.

According to these reports, Kurdish civil society activists, journalists, political campaigners, and ordinary citizens have frequently faced detention, lengthy prison sentences, and restrictions on freedom of expression and assembly.

Critics argue that the continued heavy security presence and recurring crackdowns have contributed to an atmosphere of fear and intimidation in the region, affecting the civil rights of a significant portion of Kurdistan’s population.
