Facebook on Monday announced it had removed a network of nearly 200 accounts with more than 250,000 followers around the world, which were engaged in “coordinated inauthentic behavior.”

“These account networks intentionally spread divisive content aimed at the United States, Latin America, and Part of North Africa.”

According to the announcement three of these networks were based in Iran, while others were operating from Russia.

The company has constantly been fighting online trolls attempting to interfere with foreign politics. It had so far removed numerous social accounts owned by Iran.
