Iran Human Rights, in its latest report, announced that since 2022 (1401 in the Iranian calendar) the Islamic Republic has executed around three thousand prisoners across prisons in Iran.

This organization reported that the recorded figures from September 17, 2022, coinciding with the beginning of the Jina movement, until September of this year, show at least 2,910 people, including 83 women, executed by the Islamic regime of Iran.

Iran Human Rights further wrote, with reference to arrests after the martyrdom of Jina Amini: “Among the detainees, 37 are political-religious and 14 are protestors, of whom 12 had been arrested because of the Jina protests, and 4 were also children.”

This report emphasizes that the suppression of the people’s protests in Iran in 2022, which became famous as the Jina movement under the slogan “Woman, Life, Freedom,” was condemned by human rights organizations, the United Nations, and some countries including the United States.

Based on this report, among the detainees, the Baluch and Kurdish minorities, relative to their population, have the largest share.

In another part of the report it is stated that the Jina protests are considered the largest and most widespread nationwide dissatisfaction against the system of the Islamic Republic in nearly half a century.

It is worth mentioning that after the martyrdom of hundreds of people during the Jina protests, thousands more still remain in detention, and thousands of others were injured or suffered physical harm.

In this regard, the U.S. Department of State on Monday, September 15 of this year, on the occasion of the third anniversary of the state killing of Jina Amini, issued a statement emphasizing the preservation of her memory and declared that the name of Jina will never be forgotten, and that her martyrdom and other similar cases with this Kurdish girl are the oppression and crimes of the Islamic Republic against human rights.
