Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran targeted by unknown cyber attacker, leading it to stop activities about a month ago, confidential sources told Avatoday in condition of anonymity.
The identity and source of attackers have reportedly remained unknown.
The spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization, Behrouz Kamalvandi, announced earlier that the Bushehr nuclear power plant was turned off for “necessary repairs.”, without mentioning the cyber-attack.
Avatoday has been informed that Iran recruit a team of Russian experts to find out the source of the attack and repair the facilities, but they have so far failed in their attempts.
According to received information, the cyber-attack caused great damage and it cost millions to repair it.
The Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, forced the Parliament to approve a special budget to repair Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant.
