The UN atomic watchdog has criticized Tehran for failing to provide access to one or more sites requested by the agency, Reuters reported.

The agency, which is policing Iran’s nuclear deal with major powers and is responsible for monitoring the country’s nuclear sites and activities, plans a rebuke.

The rebuke will reportedly highlight Iran’s general lack of cooperation and failure to grant access to the sites, a diplomat told Reuters.

The nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, offered sanctions relief for Iran in return for it dismantling the weapons-capable aspects of its nuclear program.

Iran has gradually decreased its commitment to the nuclear since May 2018, when US president Donald Trump withdrew from the deal and imposed new rounds of sanctions on Tehran.
