UK’s Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation has announced that it aims to impose more than 10 million pounds of fine on Standard Chartered Bank for breaching international sanctions against Tehran, Sky News reported.

There has been no immediate response for the bank regarding the fine.

The Bank has previously agreed in April to pay 1.1 billion dollars to US and British authorities for violating sanctions against Iran by conducting illegal financial transactions with Tehran and some other countries.

Sky News has not given any further details regarding the new fine on Standard Chartered Bank, which would be imposed in coming weeks.
