US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday, planning to discuss a global coalition against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“I am heading out today. Our first stops will be in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, two great allies in the challenge that Iran presents, and we’ll be talking with them about how to make sure that we are strategically aligned and how we can build out a global coalition,” Pompeo wrote in a tweet.

Tensions have been raising once again between Washington and Tehran following six tanker attacks and downing of an American Navy drone by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGCs).

An Iranian Commander told Tasnim News Agency close to the IRGCs that Iran will repeat targeting US drones.

“Everyone saw the downing of the unmanned drone… I can assure you that this firm response can be repeated, and the enemy knows it well,” the navy commander, Admiral Hossein Khanzadi said on Monday.
