An Iranian health official announced Saturday that all the flights to Iraq and vice versa have been canceled due to the severity of the coronavirus outbreak in the two states.
Touraj Dehghan Zanganeh, an Iranian health official, was quoted by Mehr News Agency announcing that “all flights of Iranian Airline companies and Iraq’s Al-Araqiyah Airline from Iran to Iraq and vice versa were abolished until further notice due to the outbreak of the second wave of coronavirus pandemic, COVID-19, as well as observing health guidelines as instructed by the Coronavirus Combat and Prevention Headquarters.”
Both Iran and Iraq were harshly hit by the outbreak of the virus.
