Afshin Hosseinpanahi, a civil and environmental activist and the brother of Ramin Hosseinpanahi, who was executed in 2018, was re-arrested on February 10, 2026, by forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Intelligence Organization and transferred to an unknown location.
Afshin Hosseinpanahi has previously been arrested and imprisoned multiple times due to his civil, social, and environmental activities, and has spent years of his life behind bars.
As of now, no information is available regarding his place of detention, the reasons for his arrest, or his current condition. His family and close relatives have stated that full responsibility for his life, health, and safety lies with the security agencies.
