A number of Media activists working for Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGCs) were arrested in the city of Sanandaj as internal tension is increasing among Iran's conservatives and reformists, confidential sources informed Avatoday.

Assad Shabrang, Bahare Byani, Morteza Hagh-bayan, and Tovfigh Sarfaraz were among media activists who have been working in coordination with IRGCs in the Kurdish city of Sanandaj.

The team, which are affiliated with the conservatives, were actively spreading news on social media about the corruption cases of reformist government officials in the Kurdistan province.

“Bayni is reportedly released on bail, while others are still in jail,” the sources told Avatoday on condition of anonymity.
