Iranian airport police announce on Monday that women who do not follow Iranian compulsory Hijab would not be allowed to travel according to the new rules and regulations.

The chief of Iran’s airports police, Mohsen Mehri, told Iran’s ISNA that the judiciary is fully cooperating with the police department on Hijab-related rules.

When asked about what would happen to women who do not fully follows the regime’s dress codes, Mehri announced that “It is possible that their flights would be canceled and they must appear in court for such violations.”

Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution brought strict sharia law especially against women.
