A clash on Sunday occurred among Iranian security forces and unknown gunmen in Iran’s northwestern province of Urmia, several sources told Avatoday.
According to one of the sources, the confrontation erupted in the Margawar area of Urmia, “left three Iranian forces heavily wounded.”
The wounded forces, the source said, “have been transferred to Urmia hospital.”
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility.
At least three Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps including a commander were killed and several others were wounded in a separate clash in the Kurdistan Province’s Divandareh on May 6.
