Israel Defense Forces announced late Saturday that their fighter jets struck bases of pro-Iranian forces inside Syria to prevent a scheduled attack by Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps’ drones.

According to Conricus, Iranian forces have been under constant monitoring of Israelis for the past several months. Tehran’s plan was failed du to Israeli’s preventive attacks.

“A number of terror targets and military facilities belonging to the Quds force as well as Shiite militias,” he explained.

Regarding the planned military attacks by Iranian forces, Conricus said: “This was a significant plan with significant capabilities that had been planned for a few months. It was not something done on a low level, but rather top down from the Quds Force.”

There have been no immediate response form Iranian sides.

Syrian state television claimed that the country’s air defenses were activated against hostile targets.
