Iranian official has reportedly told German envoy that Tehran’s patience is over during a Thursday meeting aiming at negotiating recent US tensions and 2015 nuclear deal.

Jens Ploetner, a political director in the German Foreign Ministry met Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. Reuters reported that according to German sources more meetings are scheduled with other Iranian officials.

Some European countries especially Germany and France have been trying to preserve Iran nuclear deal after US pulled out in 2018.

Iranian atomic energy chief, Ali Akbar Salehi claimed earlier this month that Tehran has stopped some of its commitments under the deal in response to international sanctions that crumbled its economy.

He also announced that the country restarted its uranium enrichment and could enrich uranium up to 20 percent only in four days if they want to.

Since the Iran nuclear deal in 2015, Islamic Republic promised to enrich 3.67 percent for energy needs only. A roughly 90 percent of uranium enrichment is required for a nuclear program.
