Top commander of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and head of the Guards’ aerospace division, Amirali Hajizadeh said the presence of the US military forces including Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier in the Gulf is an opportunity for Islamic Republic.

He also said, “If they (the US forces in Gulf) make a move we will hit them in the head.”

“An aircraft carrier that has at least 40 to 50 planes on it and 6,000 forces gathered within it was a serious threat for us in the past but now…the threats have switched to opportunities,” Reuters quoted Hajizadeh on Sunday.

According to an Iranian parliament member Behrooz Nemaati, the commander of IRGCs Major General Hossein Salami said on Sunday, as a part of his analysis of the situation, that Washington started a psychological war in the region.

Tensions raised between Tehran and Washington more than ever since Iran declared that it will re-start part of its nuclear activities.

Washington has sent forces, including aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln and B-52 bombers, to the Middle East in response to Iran’s continuous threats against US forces and their allies.

An Israeli minister warned on Sunday of Iran’s possible direct or proxy attacks against Israel following the tensions between Tehran and Washington.

“If there’s some sort of conflagration between Iran and the United States, between Iran and its neighbors, I am not ruling out that they will active Hezbollah and the Islamic Jihad from Gaza, or even that they will try to fire missiles from Iran at the State of Israel, “Reuters quoted Yuval Steinitz, Israeli Energy Minister and members of security cabinet on Sunday.

“Things are heating up,” in the Middle East, he warned..
