Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, will visit Tehran on Saturday, suggesting possible progress on reaching a nuclear deal.
“They will discuss outstanding safeguards issues with a view to address(ing) them,” the IAEA said, reported Reuters.
An Iranian official told Reuters on Thursday that negotiations are ongoing to revive the 2015 nuclear deal.
“All parties involved in the talks are working hard to resolve two or three remaining issues that are sensitive … Grossi’s trip to Tehran is very important because we have reached a deal here, but it is very fragile,” he said.
However, a White House official quoted by Reuters said that there was “no change” in the nuclear talks.
