An explosion occurred at a power plant in Islamabad, in Iran’s central province of Isfahan on Sunday morning, eyewitness told Avatoday.

“The explosion was huge, it shaken our house, like an earthquake,” the eyewitness from the area said on condition of anonymity.

Official say that the wear and tear of a transformer caused the blast.

According to information obtained by Avatoday, electricity was interrupted for several hours.

Several explosions have been reported around Iranian missile, nuclear and industrial facilities since late June.

The New York Times published a report in early July saying that “a Middle Eastern intelligence official with knowledge of the episode said Israel was responsible for the attack on the Natanz nuclear complex on Thursday, using a powerful bomb.”
