Islamic Republic of Iran on Saturday sent back block boxes from Ukrainian airliner which was shut down by Reolutionary Guards in January.
“The black boxes were transported to Paris yesterday by officials of the Civil Aviation Authority and a judge,” Mohsen Baharvand, Iran’s deputy foreign minister for international and legal affairs told Iranian state media.
176 civilians were killed in January after Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) downed a Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737 shortly after taking off from Tehran's Imam Khomeini airport
Beginning by denial and after International pressure, IRGC finally admitted the downing of the airliner a week after the incident.
Avatoday was the first media to report that the passenger jet had been shut down with two missiles.
