Asian Football Confederation’s official website has deleted Iran’s national soccer team from its ranking list.
One of the prominent football website called, Transfer Market, has also removed Iran and any information related to that country.
There has been no official explanation on the recent move against Tehran, but some news agencies noted that the decision came in response to Iran’s banning policy against women, who are not allowed inside sport stadiums since 1979 Islamic revolution.
Iran is highly criticized for politicalizing its football. FIFA has previously warned the Islamic Republic and blamed the Islamic regime of using football as a political tool.
