One of the three teenage girls, who were arrested by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence forces in the city of Javanrud on Tuesday and released the following day, attempted suicide, Hengaw Organization for Human Rights reported.
The 16-year-old girl made a suicide attempt by hanging herself at her family house the same day she was released, an informed source told Hengaw.
She is currently hospitalized in the ICU of “Hazrat-e Rasool” hospital in Javanrud and her health condition is reported to be critical.
The three girls were detained unlawfully and for unknown reasons, according to Hengaw.
