Ahmad Alamolhoda the Imam of Friday Prayer in the city of Mashhad said expelling UK ambassador in Tehran is the “most generous gift” to him and that Qassem Soleimani’s followers could “chop him into pieces.”

Iran briefly arrested London’s envoy to the country on Sunday night, accusing him of taking photos of the ongoing student protests in Tehran when arrested by security forces.

Hundreds of students took the streets this week in a protest to the downing of a passenger jet by Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, killing 176 people.

Alamolhoda, who is a hardliner himself and a follower of the Iranian General Soleimani killed by US strike this month, called US envoy “enemy’s agent.”

Iran’s Judiciary has also said on Tuesday that the UK ambassador to Tehran was an “undesirable element.”
