The fact is very simple, Saudi Arabia accuses Qatar of supporting and financing terrorism, also three other Arab countries sever diplomatic relations with Qatar, which led Doha to carry out campaigns to improve the reputation in many European and Western countries to deny the accusations, coinciding with the smear campaigns targeting the Saudis at all levels.

After the killing of Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Qatar led a mass media campaign in conjunction with the Turkish media, aimed at distorting Saudi Arabia and trying to link the incident to the second man in the country (Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman), in an apparent attempt to avenge the step of isolation at both levels.

Informed and identical sources talked about the features of a Qatari media move to invest the first anniversary of the death of Khashoggi at the consulate of his country, through coordinated operations with a large number of media, whether residing on the territory of its ally Turkey and journalists beneficiaries of Qatar’s donation funds within the United States.

Qatar operates through Saudi person who lives in Canada, posted videos and tweets in March 2015 via his Twitter account supporting ISIS in Syria. Mock accounts in Twitter claim to be contrary to the orientations of the boycott countries, to exploit the year since the killing of Khashoggi through the distribution of roles for the elements of those accounts is to coordinate with human rights organisations and press unions to carry out protests in front of the Saudi embassies and consulate in Istanbul, although daily Twitter talk about his death and the launch of a live broadcast on Twitter personalities friendly and close to Khashoggi.

The United States is investigating in suspicious donations received by some of its universities, estimated at $ 1.4 billion, aimed at attracting research centres in those universities, and to support Qatari positions within the US decision-making circles, to deny the accusations of countries that have severed relations with them.

The new information on Qatar’s payment of funds to invest the first anniversary of the Khashoggi incident opens the door for millions of dollars spent, with the aim of distorting its political opponents, led by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain, with a powerful media machine, which is lacking in a country like Saudi Arabia. It has recently taken corrective steps to open up to the world through several government-backed projects, most notably the opening of tourist visas to change the prevailing stereotype.

The Gulf and Arab countries, which decided to sever diplomatic relations with Qatar, criticise the behaviour of Doha’s media machine, accusing it of broadcasting incitement speeches and adopting an extremist speech that is inconsistent with the principles of good relations and contributes to increasing tensions in the region. All of us remember that the Libyan military spokesman Ahmed al-Mesmari accused Qatar of supporting terrorism in Libya by supporting some extremist organisations and called on Qatar to stop such activities.

Last July, Italian police announced in a statement that they held air missile in a good condition which used by the Qatari army as well as other sophisticated weapons were on their way to groups belonging to extremist groups in Italy and this incident is still under investigation.

In a related context, the New York Times revealed in July about Qatar involvement in the bombing in the port of Bosasso in Somalia, the newspaper said that the Qatari businessman and close to the Emir of Qatar made a phone call to the Qatari ambassador to Somalia Hassan Hashim a week after the explosion and said that the bombing comes to promote the interests Qatar by expelling its rival in Somalia in reference to the UAE where it is investing economically.
