Iranian Government has prevented donators across the country from reaching flood-affected areas or delivering aids to the victims.

In an official letter, a copy of which received by Avatoday, Iran’s General prosecutor on Monday ordered Red Crescent and Komayete Emdad to prevent volunteers who want to go to the affected-areas and help.

“If anyone resisted, take legal action against them,” the letter reads.

As the government was highly criticized for lack of responsibility, the Red Crescent and Komayte Emdad formed several stations to gather donations in the cities and towns across the country.

Several videos received by Avatoday indicated that people have not welcomed state-sponsored donations due to the lack of trust to the governmental organizations.

Narges Kalbasi, an Iranian Human rights activist, announced on Wednesday that her bank account, which was opened to public donation, was blocked by authorities.
