One fuel porter was killed, and another was seriously injured in a car crash at the conclusion of an Iranian Revolutionary Guard pursuit on Monday in the border of Baluchestan.
According to a report by Baloch Activists Campaign, the two-passenger fuel truck was crashed on the Ladiz-Mirjaveh highway.
“The victims were son and father. The son died immediately, and his father was seriously injured. The father is in a coma,” the report said.
In a separate incident, IRGC pursuit ended with a brutal death of another fuel porter whose car crashed.
Protests broke out in Saravan after 37 fuel porters were shot dead by Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) at the country’s Baluchestan province near the border of Pakistan on Monday, February 22.
Several police and IRGC bases have been controlled by protesters, and the Internet was shut down for days.
Amnesty International published a statement on March 2, accusing Iran’s Revolutionary Guards of unlawfully using lethal force against unarmed fuel porters near Saravan and violating international law.
