Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit said Iran’s “destructive regional aspirations” threaten the Middle East and “world peace,” jns reported on Tuesday.

Earlier this week Aboul Gheit blamed Tehran for the unrests and violent events in Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Lebanon.

“More than ever, Iran is threatening stability in the Middle East and endangering world peace in general due to its destructive regional aspirations,” jns has quoted the Arab League chief who was talking to Arab media outlets on Sunday.

He has also called for unity of Arab nations against the “threats posed by Tehran.”

“The Arab League’s member states will continue to act to block Tehran’s regional ambitions and the dangers they represent for the stability of Arab countries,” Aboul Gheit added.

Iran is blamed for its interventionist behavior in the region and its continues financial and military supports to extreme groups as its proxies.
