The death toll of Iran’s brutal crackdown on protesters has raised to 304 as Amnesty International is investigating the case.

According to the right group, at least 304 people were killed and thousands were brutally wounded by Iranian security forces during three-day nationwide protests in the country in November, which started as government tripled the price of fuel overnight.

Amnesty published the report on Monday, announcing that it has reached the current result from collected testimonies and by analyzing videos, showing Basiji forces and members of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps killing and injuring protesters between November 15 to 18.

US Special Representative to Iran had previously claimed that more than 1000 people killed by Iranian regime during November protests. The opposition forces have also estimated the death toll to be around 1000 deaths.

More than 7000 people were arrested by security forces and their fate remain largely unknown.

Despite pressure from human rights groups, Iran refused to publish official report on the death toll and the number of detainees.

Several unconfirmed reports have recently claimed that dead bodies were found in numbers of Iranian cities’ dams, which apparently belong to protesters who were killed under torture and their bodies were thrown to the waters.
