Iranian security forces have reportedly detained a number of religious heralds on charge of “spying for Israel.”

Iranian authorities announced that they have arrested “a number of eulogists trained in Israel to dishonor Shiite Ashura ceremonies.”

Iran has reportedly refused to give any further explanations regarding these series of arrests.

The Shiite-ruled Iran is expecting religious celebrations during Muharram, the first month in the Islamic calendar, which considered a holy month for its Shiite population.

Back in 2017, Iran had arrested three well-known eulogists on charge of “Spying for Israel.”
