Hospital announces right activist imprisoned in Iran needs ‘urged surgery’

Iranian human rights Narges Mohamadi, who has been imprisoned in Iran, must undergo surgery, Radio Farda cited her lawyer.

According to the report, her lawyer said it is not clear if prison authorities will allow Mohamadi to receive the medical care she urgently needs it. 

Mohamadi has been imprisoned several times in the past few years. Her last time of arrestment begun since 2015 after she met the European Union’s foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton at that time.

She has been accused of acting against the Islamic Republic of Iran and sentenced to 16 years in prison.

Mohamadi’s health situation was reported critical during a recent visit to hospital. According to her lawyer, she immediately needs operation due to complications with her uterus.
