Bahrain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the country's territory was targeted by several Iranian drones in the early hours of Saturday, June 27, and strongly condemned the attack.

In a statement, the Bahraini government described the strike as "a blatant violation of Bahrain's sovereignty" and a breach of international conventions prohibiting attacks on civilian targets.

Bahrain held the Islamic Republic responsible for undermining regional and international efforts to reduce tensions, stating that the continued attacks demonstrate Tehran's policy of destabilizing regional security and exporting chaos.

The statement was issued as tensions between the United States and the Islamic Republic entered a new phase following the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' (IRGC) attack on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.

U.S. officials said the Singapore-flagged vessel was struck by a drone attack, prompting Washington to launch a military response.

In retaliation, the United States bombed several military targets belonging to the Islamic Republic along Iran's coastline.

Following the strikes, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance said that the Islamic Republic had signed the ceasefire agreement and that the United States had fully complied with it. He added that if Tehran had any disagreements regarding the implementation of the memorandum of understanding, "it can pick up the phone," but warned that "violence will be met with violence."

In response, the terrorist Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it had targeted locations hosting U.S. military personnel in the region.

Bahrain, however, stated that the attack on its territory constituted a direct challenge to the relevant United Nations Security Council resolution and to the Islamic Republic's commitments under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.

Manama also declared that it fully reserves its right to defend its sovereignty, security, and stability.
