Following the Israeli military attacks on southern Lebanon on Tuesday, June 16, which left four people dead, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters threatened retaliation.
The attacks took place after the announcement of an agreement between Iran and the United States.
The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, which is responsible for coordinating the Islamic Republic's military-terrorist forces, said in a statement that if Israel does not stop its attacks in southern Lebanon, it should expect a "harsh response" from the Islamic Republic's armed forces.
The statement claimed that following Donald Trump's announcement that an understanding to end the war had been finalized, the Israeli military had "violated the ceasefire" in southern Lebanon "84 times."
Lebanon announced hours earlier that Israeli attacks in the south of the country had left four people dead, while Israel said it had intercepted several rockets fired by Hezbollah and had also carried out strikes.
Lebanon's state news agency reported that Israeli drones targeted two vehicles in the town of Mifdoun and another vehicle in a township near Shaqin, both in the Nabatieh region, resulting, "according to preliminary figures, in the deaths of four people" and the injury of several others.
The Israeli military said it had carried out an attack in southern Lebanon after identifying "a suspicious vehicle" in an area where its forces were operating, but did not specify the exact location of the operation.
The Israeli military also said that its forces had intercepted several rockets fired toward soldiers in southern Lebanon and that, in response, the Israeli Air Force had "targeted and destroyed" the launch sites used to fire those rockets.
