Iran-backed Houthi group in Yemen has claimed it struck a distribution station operated by the Saudi Aramco oil company in Saudi Arabia's Red Sea city of Jeddah.

A Houthi military spokesman, Yahya Sarea, said the attack was carried out with a Quds-2 type winged missile. There was no immediate Saudi confirmation of the claim.

The group's military spokesman warned foreign companies and residents in Saudi of further missile attacks planned by the group.

He asked foreigners to exercise caution as "operations will continue".

"The strike was very accurate, and ambulances and fire engines rushed to the target," Sarea said.

Iran constantly has been accused of providing the group with missiles and military equipment.
