On the third day of attacks by the United States and Israel against the positions and officials of the Islamic Republic, strikes continued from the early hours of Monday, 1 March, with numerous reports of explosions heard in various cities across Iran.

Iranian media reported several explosions in Urmia and Tabriz. The political and security deputy of the governor of Yazd announced that at dawn on Monday, six locations in Ardakan and Yazd, as well as one site on the Yazd–Mehriz road, were targeted by U.S. and Israeli airstrikes.

An ammunition depot belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Kerman was struck on Monday morning. Residents of Rey reported that the local police command headquarters was destroyed following Sunday evening’s attacks.

On Kish Island, explosions were reported around 7:30 a.m. near the airport and a naval base. Witnesses also reported heavy explosions late Sunday night and early Monday morning in Sanandaj, Shiraz, and Kerman.

In Tehran, several explosions were heard from 5:00 a.m. in the Tehranser district, and electricity was cut in the area around 6:15 a.m. Residents in western Tehran, including Punak and Qods City, reported intense explosions around 5:30 a.m., with one witness claiming to have heard 13 blasts.

Images of several large explosions resulting from strikes in Sanandaj, western Iran, were also circulated. Some local sources said Police Station 15 and the 28th Infantry Division of the army in Sanandaj were heavily bombed hours earlier. The previous day, the Imam Ali IRGC garrison on the outskirts of the city had also been targeted.

In Ahvaz, continuous fighter jet flights and repeated explosions were heard early Monday, and at 2:35 a.m. several powerful blasts were reported in the city.

These developments come as Donald Trump, President of the United States, told the British newspaper Daily Mail that the conflict with the Islamic Republic could last up to four weeks. He stated, “This has always been a four-week process. We thought it would take about four weeks,” adding, “No matter how powerful it is, it’s a big country — it takes four weeks — or less.”

Trump also called on the IRGC to “lay down its arms and receive immunity” and urged “Iranian patriots” to “heroically reclaim Iran,” emphasizing that the United States stands with them.
