Iran's Atomic Energy Organization is planning to implement new security protocols next week and ban specific electronic devices from its facilities and affiliated locations, IranWire reported on Wednesday.
“The restrictions will prohibit entry of certain laptops, tablets, and mobile phones, including devices manufactured by Motorola, Apple, and BlackBerry,” the news agency said.
The alleged measure comes amid heightened regional tensions following Israel's stated intention to respond to this month's missile attack by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The security upgrade appears motivated by concerns over potential espionage and sabotage operations.
