At least 30 Iranian men were convicted criminal and set up each for as long as 20 years of prison term by Iranian courts, which accelerate economic crime cases as the country is dealing with worst financial crisis ever.
According to a report by Middle East Eye published on Monday, the fast-truck revolutionary courts established since August upon a call from Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to save the country form economic crisis and high rate of corruption.
The rulings of the new courts cannot be appealed except for death sentences.
The Iranian leader has recently ordered the Central Bank to strengthen the national currency, which lost 65 percent of its value in 2018.
Iran is trying to deal with increasing local crisis since the US president Donald Trump pulled out of the 2015 Iran Nuclear deal in May.
Trump called the deal “worst ever” agreement, which was signed during Barak Obama’s administration.
The international sanctions hit Tehran once again especially since November. According to US officials the new wave of sanctions is the toughest imposed by Americans against a country.
