Two separate deadly crash erupted on Wednesday between Iranian Revolutionary Guards and unknown gunmen in the northwestern border region with Turkey and Rawansar, Iranian media confirmed the news.
Iranian media quoted officials confirming the death of at least two guards during the Tuesday clash in Mako, northwest of Iran. No further detail was given.
Confidential sources informed Avatoday of another clash in Rawansar, which killed at least two Revolutionary Guards.
There have been frequent clashes between Iranian Revolutionary Guards and Kurdish fighters of PJAK in the region, but no Kurdish parties have so far claimed the responsibility for Tuesday’s attack.
