A suicide attack targeted a bus carrying members of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) late Wednesday, killed 41 and wounded several others in southeastern Iran, eyewitness told Avatoday.

IRGC has confirmed the attack on their members an hour ago, announcing that the attack occurred on the road between Khash and Zahedan.

They also said that injuries were immediately sent to hospital.

The Sunni militant group affiliated with al-Qaeda claimed the responsibility of the deadly attack.

Avatoday has previously warned on possible government-arranged attacks on order to attract local sympathy, and changing global opinion on Iran as the top supporter of terrorism to a victim of terror.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohamad Javad Zarif reacted to the attack on his twitter account.

“It is no coincidence that Iran is hit by terror on the very day that #WarsawCircus begins? Especially when cohorts of same terrorists cheer it from Warsaw streets and support it with twitter bots? US seems to always make the wrong choices, but expect different results,” he wrote.

Representatives of at least 60 nations around the World arrived early Wednesday in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, to attend a US Summit on Middle East and Iran as its main focus. Iranian opposition forces hold a rally against Tehran as the conference started.
