The Kurds of Yarasan are subjected to multiple discrimination, pressure and oppression by the Iranian government. On the one hand, because they are Kurds, and on the other hand, because of their religious differences with Iran.

According to the reports received by Avatoday, on Wednesday, May 13, 2024, two brothers of Kurd Yarsani from Sahneh were arrested by the security forces after introducing themselves to the "Cheshme Sefid" prison in Kermanshah.

"Shoja and Pouria Menati", Kurds following the Yarsan religion, were arrested in October 2022 for participating in nationwide protests.

They were sentenced to one year in prison and 74 lashes by the second branch of the Kermanshah Criminal Court on the charge of "disturbing public order".

During the past months, the sentences of these two brothers were changed to work in a government complex and they had to report themselves to the prison every day.
