Israel and the US have agreed to pursue a joint strategy to stop Iran from further developing its nuclear program, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said.

He hasn’t provided further details regarding their plan.

“We achieved all the goals that we set for this visit, and even more,” Bennett said before boarding a flight to Israel from the US.

Israeli Prime Minister, who met with President Joe Biden on Friday, said Israel had made “significant headway” in equipping its military.

For his part, Biden said that the US is “putting diplomacy first and seeing where that takes us.” However, he added that if talks fail, his administration is ready to turn to other options.

Earlier this week, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz warned that Iran is two months away from nuclear weapons capacity.

Gantz has called for the international community to create a new prevention plan that did not involve reviving the 2015 Iran deal.

Iran is only two months away from acquiring the materials necessary for a nuclear weapon," Gantz told a gathering of 60 ambassadors in Tel Aviv.
