Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Tuesday that it will grant residential land to Liwa Fatemiyoun, which is an Afghan Shia militia group whose members are fighting for Iranian interests in Syria.

Hamid Qoreishi, head of Basiji forces in Tehran said that granting lands to the families of Liwa Fatemiyoun members who were killed in Syria is a part of the deal between Basiji forces and other governmental offices in Tehran.

The Fatemiyoun Brigade consisted of Afghani migrants in Iran who have been mobilized, armed and deployed by Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in Syria. The fighters receive money from the Iranian government.

Thousands of Iranian militants, mostly Afghans, were killed and wounded in Syria.
