As Jerusalem has successfully test-fired its prominent US-backed Arrow-3 ballistic missile, the Israeli leader cast the achievement as a clear warning to Tehran.

Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Sunday in a published statement that, “today Israel has the capabilities to act against ballistic missiles launched at us from Iran and from anywhere else.”

Arrow-3, which is jointly manufactured by US company Boeing Co, was deployed in Israel since 2017 but its tests were delayed a few times in the past due to technical issues.

It “is capable of shooting down incoming missiles in space, an attitude that would destroy any non-conventional warheads safely,” The National has described Arrow-3 on a report published on Sunday.

Earlier last week, some unnamed officials from Washington announced that Iran has test fired a Shahab-3 medium-range ballistic missile.

The lunch reportedly flew nearly 1000 kilometers from the Southern part of the country northward to an area close to Tehran, the capital of Islamic Republic of Iran.

“All our foes should know that we can best them, both defensively and offensively,” Netanyahu said in his statement on Sunday after their own missile lunch in Alaska, US.
