Islamic Republic’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has repeated on Tuesday that there will be no negotiation between his country with US officials.

"There will be no negotiation between Iran and the U.S. at any level, neither in New York nor anywhere else,” Khamenei said.

Reports have previously talked about the possibility of a meeting between Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the United Nations Summit.

"The trap of negotiation is to impose America's wills, and a proof for the effectiveness of US maximum pressure…so we will not let it happens," he said during a speech among students.

But he has mentioned that the negotiation with Thump’s administration is only possible in the frame of 5+1 group; parties to 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

"Talks will only happen if Americans return back to the deal,” Khamenei has noted.

Iran has set “the end of sanctions” as its precondition to any future talks with US officials.

Trump will address the General Assembly on Tuesday, September 24, and Rouhani will give his speech a day later, on September 25.

Since early August, Trump has been expressing his willingness for a talk with Iranian officials. On Monday morning, he tweeted that reports of non-confidential negotiation with Iran is "fake news."

However, the White House counselor Kellyanne Connvay didn't reject the possibility of a meeting between Trump and Rouhani.

Regarding to the conditions of any such talks, Iran's supreme leader said, "sometimes they [Trump Administration] are talking about a non-confidential negotiation, while other times they had 12 preconditions. Such a big difference in their decision making either signifies their turbulent political condition, or is a trap to trick their rival. We will not be tricked, for sure."
