Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) are reportedly sending more troops to Syria’s Deir Ezoor after three of its members were killed by ISIS on Sunday.
Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Sunday that ISIS militias set up an ambush for members of IRGCs in al-Mayadin desert in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezoor and killed three IRGC members.
Iran is highly criticized for supporting terrorism and militia groups in the Middle East. The Islamic Republic have dramatically invested in the Syrian war and have its own military bases in the country.
Washington has designated IRGCs a foreign terrorist organization in April.
